Lauren’s journey in finance began in 2005 when she started as a trainee accountant with a small, chartered accounting firm in regional New South Wales. While pursuing her Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Agribusiness), she gained hands-on experience that set the foundation for her career. After graduating, Lauren joined KPMG’s prestigious Graduate Program in Sydney and became a Chartered Accountant in 2010.

Her diverse professional background spans industries and continents, including:

  • A secondment with an Aboriginal partner organisation in Far North Queensland.

  • Player contract management for an elite sporting organisation.

  • Serving as Regional Finance and Human Resource Manager in Morocco.

  • Joining The Search with Rip Curl, the ultimate surfing company.

  • Establishing an in-home aged care service in the City of Greater Geelong. 

As a seasoned global financial manager, Lauren combines a strategic, big-picture mindset with meticulous attention to detail—an essential balance for navigating complex financial tasks. Her expertise spans a wide range of financial systems, including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics, making her a versatile and reliable partner for any business.

After four years of adventure and globetrotting with the Intrepid Group—the world’s largest adventure travel company—Lauren sought a lifestyle change. This desire for balance inspired her to launch Auburn Advisory, where she delivers tailored financial solutions with a personal touch.

Now based on Victoria’s stunning Surf Coast, Lauren enjoys a laid-back lifestyle with her husband and two sons while working remotely with clients across various industries.
